  • Mason Jar

Ingredients  

  • 1/2 large red onion, slivered
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 cup water

Instructions 

  • Cut half of a large red onion into small slivers and place into a mason jar.
  • In a small bowl, combine the salt, apple cider vinegar, and maple syrup and mix well until salt is dissolved.
  • Add this mixture to a 12oz mason jar and then top the onions with 1 cup of water.
  • Place a lid tightly on the mason jar and let it sit out for 12-14 hours.
  • Wait for the color of the onions to change to a light pink and then store in the fridge. ENJOY!
