large red onion, slivered

apple cider vinegar

maple syrup

Instructions
Cut half of a large red onion into small slivers and place into a mason jar.
In a small bowl, combine the salt, apple cider vinegar, and maple syrup and mix well until salt is dissolved.
Add this mixture to a 12oz mason jar and then top the onions with 1 cup of water.
Place a lid tightly on the mason jar and let it sit out for 12-14 hours.
Wait for the color of the onions to change to a light pink and then store in the fridge. ENJOY!
