Air Fryer Sesame Crusted Feta

sesame feta | GIRLS WHO EAT

Sesame crusted feta is one of my all time favorite appetizers! All you need is a block of feta, an egg, a flour, and sesame seeds. It is salty, crispy, and sweet with the honey that is drizzled on top! It takes less than 15 minutes to make and is a great appetizer or side dish.

For this recipe, you will need:

  • Air Fryer
  • Feta: Use a block of feta, not crumbled feta
  • Flour: I used garbanzo bean flour, which is a thicker flour made from chickpeas
  • Egg: this helps bind the sesame seeds to the feta
  • Sesame Seeds

Tips:

  • Place all your ingredients in separate bowls to do the dipping
  • Coat your feta first in flour, then in egg, then in the sesame seeds
  • Air fryers differ based on size and brand, so timing may vary
  • Adding honey on top of the baked feta adds sweetness to the saltiness of the cheese
  • You can enjoy the recipe plain or spread it on toast or crackers
  • You can swap out the garbanzo bean flour for regular flour or finely ground oat flour

How to Store:

  • I like to eat this fresh and right away, but it can be stored in a sealed airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days
