Kale chips are such an easy and healthy snack to make especially in an air fryer. You can find fresh curly kale in most grocery stores and it is in season for a long time so it’s a great snack to eat all summer long. I started making these because buying kale chips at the grocery store was expensive and this is a great way to save money. Kale is high in vitamins and minerals, such as vitamins A, K, and C, manganese, calcium, and copper and high in antioxidants so this snack is definitely a healthy one!
For this recipe, you will need:
- Kale: I use curly kale and I buy organic because kale is on the Dirty Dozen list
- Lemon
- Olive Oil
- Salt: you can add more salt than what I have to taste
- Garlic Powder
Tips:
- These kale chips do not last long so you may want to make a double batch
- Air fryer timing may vary based on size and type of air fryer
How to Store:
- Keep these stored in a sealed bowl and on the counter for up to 2 days

Cooking & Baking Supplies
- Air Fryer
Ingredients
- 4 cups kale, destemmed
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Wash your kale, remove the stems, and cut kale leaves into small sized pieces. You can also use your hands to rip the kale off the stem. Dry the kale really well with a dish towel or paper towels.
- In a mixing bowl, add kale and all ingredients and mix together well.
- Line the base of your air fryer with kale. Do not let them overlap or they will not cook properly and cook at 370 degrees for 2-4 minutes. Continue until all kale is cooked into chips. Let cool until they become crispy. ENJOY!
