Easy Mediterranean-Style Tuna Salad

Mediterranean Tuna Salad | GIRLS WHO EAT

Tuna was a staple from my childhood – so when I received a few sustainably caught cans sent to us accidentally from a recent grocery delivery, I decided to change up my traditional tuna salad and add a Mediterranean spin! Mediterranean food and spices are some of my favorite ways to add flavor to a meal so I added in a harissa spice blend and some garlic powder and it made this dish really come to life!

Tuna salad is great to eat with crackers or add to a salad, which is how I ate it. This dish is packed with fresh vegetables and mixed together with mayo. I used avocado oil based mayo that is sugar free and also Whole30 approved! Our favorite spice to use in this is the NY Shuk Herby Harissa!

This dish was just creamy enough and super flavorful with the different veggies, spices, and capers! It’s the closest thing I will be to the Mediterranean this summer.

Substitutions Ideas:

  • Cucumber + Peppers: Swap them out for celery, carrots, or any other vegetable you enjoy raw
  • Harissa: you can use chili powder or paprika as an alternative
