Every thanksgiving needs an apple dessert recipe and this one is so easy and simple and is ready in less than an hour.  Fresh apples from the farmer’s market combined with cinnamon and a crumble crust is always a favorite and top it off with ice cream or whipped cream and you’ve got a dessert that will definitely be a crowd pleaser.

For this recipe, you will need:

  • Apples: fresh local apples are always best if you live in an area that has them
  • Maple Syrup: it’s best to use pure maple syrup for the best flavor and the most nutrient dense option
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg: this optional
  • Vanilla
  • Oats: try to buy organic or non-GMO oats since conventional oats are typically sprayed with the chemical glyphosate, which is harmful to our health
  • Coconut Sugar
  • Salt
  • Almond Flour
  • Ghee or Butter: I love using ghee as a butter replacement and it’s lactose free. It’s packed with vitamins and anti-inflammatory properties and elevates the taste of any dish! My favorite one to use is 4th & Heart.
  • Pecans
  • 8×8 Baking Pan

How to Store:

  • Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days
