This recipe was actually created after I hit my head super hard on a corner of a cabinet and was looking for brain health foods that would get me feeling better quickly! Now, I make this salmon regularly because it’s so good with the chia crunch and it’s ready in 20 minutes. It is gluten free, sugar free, and made with only 7 ingredients.
Salmon, if sustainable and properly raised, and chia seeds are full of healthy Omega-3s, an essential nutrient needed for our bodies with amazing health benefits. This salmon also requires no marinating time. All you need to do is brush the salmon with oil, mix together the spices with the chia seeds, and coat the salmon fully in the mixture. Then place the salmon on a baking tray and cook in the oven. I used the Atlantic Salmon from Sizzlefish (use code GIRLSWHOEAT for 15% off you order on their website), which I order monthly because their salmon is sustainably sourced and high quality.
The chia seed crunch mixed with the soft texture of salmon goes together perfectly. You can serve this salmon over a bed of lettuce, some roasted veggies or zoodles!
