This seasoning is my absolute favorite to use on white fish, shrimp, or even roasted cauliflower steaks. It is so versatile and can be made with 7 pantry staple spices! This makes enough to last a while so you will get quite a few meals out of this spice blend. I like to store mine in a small glass jar and I use it weekly!

What is blackened seasoning? 

It is a mix of chili spices and herbs that is similar to a Cajun seasoning! It has a bit of a kick to it!

What you will need to make this recipe:

  • Paprika
  • Onion Powder
  • Garlic Powder
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Cayenne
  • Italian Seasoning 

Tips:

  • Make this in a reusable and sealable glass jar so you can keep it in your pantry to use.
  • No Italian Seasoning? You can replace that with 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano mixed with 1/2 teaspoon dried basil or thyme

  • Salmon

Ingredients  

  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne

Instructions 

  • Mix all of the ingredients together in a small glass jar and add to your favorite protein, fish, or veggies! Brush olive oil on first, then sprinkle some seasoning on and use a pastry brush to coat.
