These caramelized bananas are made with 4 simple ingredients and are ready in less than 10 minutes. You can eat these plain or with ice cream, add them onto a peanut butter toast, or top your Air Fryer French Toast with them! This recipe of caramelized bananas are made with ghee, cinnamon, and coconut sugar. These ingredients help bring out the natural sweetness in the banana and turn it into the perfect treat.
For this recipe, you need:
- Air Fryer
- Mixing Bowl
- Bananas: this is a great way to use up ripe browned bananas
- Ghee: if you don’t have ghee, you can use melted coconut oil or butter instead! My favorite brand to use is 4th & Heart
- Cinnamon
- Coconut Sugar
Tips:
- You can really cut your banana up anyway. I like to make quarters, but halves or circle slices work as well
- Air fryers vary based on type and size, so timing may vary
- I suggest putting a piece of tin foil down in the air fryer, make sure to leave some of the holes exposed, but this allows for a very easy clean up
How to Store:
- I like to eat these right away (they don’t last long!), but once they are cooled, you can store in a sealed airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days!
