I am not a huge alcohol drinker, but I love to join in on the fun with a mocktail in hand! I am a big fan of watermelon juice because it’s extremely hydrating and is so sweet in season so I decided to make a refreshing spritz. If you want something refreshing that takes 5 minutes then this recipe is for you.
You will need a juicer or blender to make this or alternatively you can purchase watermelon juice (just check the ingredients to make sure there are no fillers or additives). Once you juice your watermelon, fill up a cup half way, then top off the watermelon juice with your favorite lemon seltzer (mine is Spindrift), squeeze a bit of lime juice, sprinkle some salt, and mix. If you want to add alcohol, vodka would pair well! Top off with some fresh mint leaves and enjoy using a reusable or paper straw!
I can’t get over how good this spritz was and is the perfect concoction to get us through this heat wave we are having in NYC!
