hot chocolate mix | GIRLS WHO EAT

If you are looking for a great DIY gift this holiday season, then make this simple hot chocolate mix with only 2 simple ingredients (cacao powder + coconut sugar) that can be found at most grocery stores. All you need is a small glass jar or canister (which I recommend thrifting), a handwritten gift tag, and some string to have an easy and delicious holiday gift. This hot chocolate mix is so simple to make, but only makes for one cup of hot chocolate so you can always double the recipe to share more! Make sure that whoever you’re giving this to, you remind them to add 1 ½ cups of warm plant based milk to the mix!

For this recipe, you will need:

  • Coconut Sugar
  • Cacao Powder: cacao powder is a better option than cocoa powder as it maintains more beneficial nutrients and has more antioxidant

Tips:

  • Make sure to write in your gift tag to mix with 1 ½ cups of milk of their choice
  • You can double or triple this recipe for more servings as this recipe only makes for 1 large cup of hot chocolate

How to Store:

  • Store in a sealed container for up to 3 weeks
