Make Your Own Hemp Milk

hemp milk | GIRLS WHO EAT

So many store bought plant based milks contain so many bad-for-you ingredients like refined sugars, natural flavors and gums.  I have yet to find a clean hemp milk, so I had to make a clean version and the best part is that you don’t need to filter anything and it is ready in 5 minutes. Seriously, it’s that easy.  All you need is hemp hearts and a few other optional ingredients for flavor and a high speed blender!

For this recipe, you will need:

  • Hemp Hearts: these superfoods add protein to the dish and a subtle flavor. I recommend organic hemp hearts since the hemp plant is an amazing soil cleaner, but that means that toxins can be in your hemp hearts that you then ingest
  • Cinnamon (optional)
  • Vanilla: make sure it’s just pure vanilla extract and not imitation vanilla extract, which can use artificial and refined sugars, flavors, and preservatives
  • Maple Syrup (optional): it’s best to use pure maple syrup for best flavor and to be the most nutrient dense and cleanest option

How to Store:

  • Store in a sealed glass 24oz container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days!
